About Gisagara District
Gisagara District is one of the 30 districts that make up the Republic of Rwanda. It is located in the Southern Province, in the southern part of the country. To the south and east, it shares a border with the country of Burundi; to the north, it borders Nyanza District; and to the west, it borders Nyaruguru and Huye Districts.
The district is composed of 13 sectors, 59 cells, and 524 villages.
