The concept "AGASOZI NDATWA" as is popularly called in Kinyarwanda, is based on a theory that each district of Rwanda shall have a Model Community in that district that must have all the features that make human livelihood meaningful. The Model community, must have all the necessities of life, water, electricity, best health services, recreation services, educational services, best agricultural practices etc.

In implementing this government policy of Agasozi Ndatwa, soil erosion have been controlled on several high rising hills within the district.

With the help of TIG several hectares of land were constructed with radical terraces. This will improve the agricultural productivity of the district because the problem of soil erosion will have been solved.

The population is also participating in this endevor especially during the community work known as Umuganda where people come together with their tools and work on a particular thing and then after the work they discuss various issues facing their community.
