Sport which is more practiced in the District of gisagara is football where each administrative sector has put in place at least one football team. This sport is preferred by the youth in such a way that every administrative Cell has a tendency of establishing its own team in spite of the insufficiency of playgrounds and equipment appropriate for this sport.

The other sports known in the district are cycling, vollyball, basketball, karate, and handball. These games have have got few playgrounds especially in school where most of these games are practiced. The district is putting measures in place to sensitize the population about the health benefits of sports especially to women and the elderly.
